The mandate for today's marketers is clear: build lifetime relationships, but get people to take
action...now! E-mail marketing is fast, inexpensive, targeted, effective and trackable. In fact, the e-mail
channel has emerged as one of the most profitable and economical ways for your clients to manage
their customer relationships. It’s important that your clients continue to regularly communicate with
subscribers and delivers e-mail messages that are of value to the recipients.

Below are some of the deliverables that Hart Creative Marketing, Inc., offers their clients and that you
can offer your clients as well:

Monthly e-newsletters will continue to keep consumers apprised of your client’s complete product
portfolio and help to automate cross-selling and up-selling efforts. Think of this deliverable as a way to
offer consistent branding via a trackable, personalized mini-website. Enhancement will include an
updated design, more customer testimonials, news and events, industry affiliations, etc. Newsletters
might have customized content based on the opt-in category selection for each individual. Your clients
can also launch a channel partner newsletter (sent quarterly or seasonally) to allow potential and
existing domestic and international distributors to remain informed of company announcements, product
introductions, promotional ideas, marketing recommendations, channel success stories, testimonials,
press releases, etc.

Event-based e-mails will connect your clients with potential and existing customers year round. For
example, e-mailing gift suggestions around the many national holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s
Day, etc.) Additionally, a birthday e-mail and customer anniversary e-mail are also planned. Each of
these communications allows your clients to contact their customers in a relevant and meaningful way.
The extra touches at times make the sale or contribute to relationship building and brand loyalty.

Special offers can be e-mailed to your client’s key audiences. Additionally, customer appreciation e-
mails might be sent to high-value consumers whom have made large purchases. Finally, a thank-you e-
mail may be sent to registered consumers every time they visit the website asking if their needs have
been fully met.

Press releases sent via e-mail enable your clients to blast featured announcements and stories to a
wide range of constituents. Oftentimes, people miss an article published in a daily journal or on a
website. E-mailing the story the same day or after an article is published allows your client’s audience to
view the information they might have missed reading elsewhere or serves to remind those whom have
already been privy to the daily press.

Direct e-mails can significantly reduce labor, time, and associated costs. E-mails can be used at key
times to connect with busy potential and existing customers.
E-mailing will strengthen brand awareness and provide a convenient and alternative channel for dialog
between your clients and their customers. E-mails could be used to highlight services and link back to
desired areas on your client’s website.
Test e-mails represent an opportunity for your clients to test various segments’ receptiveness to
opting-in, calls to action, creative work, and special offers to A-list customers. Your clients can be
presented with results before launching costly online and/or offline campaigns.

Transaction e-mails are crucial for relationship building. An example is sending an automated,
personalized HTML e-mail immediately following a registration for your client’s electronic newsletter. The
message can be very simple: “Congratulations! You have signed up for the Client’s Name e-newsletter.”
Sometimes, it can be the extra little touches that make all the difference to a new or potential customer.

Alerts and auto reminders can be distributed to gain the attention of constituents regarding time
sensitive considerations. For example, consider sending an e-mail notifying members of new offerings of
interest and value to them. Create a sense of urgency and trigger action via time-sensitive e-mails.
(e.g., “Reply before X date to secure your free Y valued at Z.”)
