RiverStone 2008 Strikeout Program Helps New Hampshire’s Military
Over $8,800 raised for Chaplain Emergency Relief Fund This Season

Manchester, NH-The RiverStone Strikeout Program for 2008 will donate $8,810.00 to the
Chaplain Emergency Relief Fund, which benefits New Hampshire military families in need of
relief from temporary financial hardships.

Sponsored by RiverStone Resources LLC of Manchester in partnership with the New Hampshire
Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, the Strikeout Program annually
recognizes and supports a deserving not-for-profit charity selected for exceptional service to the
people and communities of New Hampshire. The charity receives a contribution of $10.00 for
every strikeout delivered by Fisher Cats pitchers during the baseball season. In 2008, Fisher Cats
hurlers registered 881 strikeouts, which translated to $8,810.00 for the Chaplain Emergency
Relief Fund. Now in its fifth year, the Strikeout Program has delivered a total of almost
$50,000.00 to New Hampshire charities since its inception in 2004.

The CERF is dedicated to helping the Granite State’s military families when they are faced with
emergency financial needs. The Fund benefits families whose loved ones serve in all branches of
the military. It is administered by a group of volunteer trustees through the Red Cross. The
donations are used to provide temporary assistance in paying for housing, utilities, medical
services, and other essential living expenses.

In presenting the check-award, Bob Warren, Senior VP, RiverStone Resources, characterized
this year’s Strikeout Program payoff as one of the most gratifying to date, citing RiverStone’s
extreme pride and pleasure in being able to help NH military members and their families. Said
Warren, “There is simply nothing more important, particularly at this time in our history, than to
acknowledge and express our gratitude for the sacrifices made in the interests of our national
security by these brave service members and their loved ones at home!”

Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner reinforced this sentiment, saying. “I know that I speak for
everyone in the Fisher Cats organization in expressing our sincere appreciation to our soldiers,
airmen, marines, sailors and members of the Coast Guard for their extraordinary commitment and
courage in service to our community and nation. We are especially indebted to those who serve
as military chaplains, and we are proud to lend our support to the work they do through the
Chaplain Emergency Relief Fund.”

Commenting on the donation, Maj. Gen. Kenneth Clark, the Adjutant General of the New
Hampshire National Guard, said, “The Strikeout Program donation will go a long way toward
helping NH’s military families in need. We are very grateful to RiverStone Resources and the
Fisher Cats for their generous support.”
