Anti-Bullying Week 2007
The dates for the 2007 Anti-Bullying Week are 19-23 November.
This year the theme will be around ‘school and community’ and will provide
scope to explore issues such as establishing safer routes to and from school,
community cohesion, engaging parents/carers in school life, cyberbullying,
and extended school provision. This years slogan is, ‘Safer together, safer

Alliance to support the week containing ideas for lessons, assemblies and
awareness raising activities in addition to information on bullying in he

to support the week. It also has order forms for you to order anti-bullying
week postcards and pin badges.
Don’t forget that the SEAL materials have a variety of excellent resources to
support teaching about anti-bullying from FS1 to Y6 which could be used as a
whole school theme for the week.
I am running a poster competition, in conjunction with the road safety team,
during the week focusing on bullying in the community with an opportunity for
winning entries to be entered into a regional competition. Look out for further
Schools are also being encouraged to join in with ‘Blue Friday’ 23 rd
November, when everyone dresses in or wears something blue to show their
support for anti-bullying work.
