SECTION 1. PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS FOR AUGUSTO ERNESTO SEGOVIA, MARIA ISABEL SEGOVIA, EDELMIRA ISABEL SEGOVIA, PERLA
FRANCCESCA SEGOVIA, AND AUGUSTO THOMAS SEGOVIA.
(a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding subsections (a)
9 and (b) of section 201 of the Immigration and Nationality 10 Act, Augusto Ernesto Segovia, Maria Isabel Segovia,
2 1 Edelmira Isabel Segovia, Perla Franccesca Segovia, and 2 Augusto Thomas Segovia shall each be eligible for 3 issuance of an immigrant visa or for adjustment of status 4 to that of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent resi5 dence upon filing an application for issuance of an immi6 grant visa under section 204 of such Act or for adjustment 7 of status to lawful permanent resident. 8 (b) ADJUSTMENT
STATUS.—If Augusto Ernesto
9 Segovia, Maria Isabel Segovia, Edelmira Isabel Segovia, 10 Perla Franccesca Segovia, or Augusto Thomas Segovia en11 ters the United States before the filing deadline specified 12 in subsection (c), he or she shall be considered to have 13 entered and remained lawfully and shall, if otherwise eligi14 ble, be eligible for adjustment of status under section 245 15 of the Immigration and Nationality Act as of the date of 16 the enactment of this Act. 17 (c) DEADLINE
18 FEES.—Subsections (a) and (b) shall apply only if the ap19 plication for issuance of an immigrant visa or the applica20 tion for adjustment of status is filed with appropriate fees 21 within 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act. 22 (d) REDUCTION
IMMIGRANT VISA NUMBER.—
23 Upon the granting of an immigrant visa or permanent res24 idence to Augusto Ernesto Segovia, Maria Isabel Segovia, 25 Edelmira Isabel Segovia, Perla Franccesca Segovia, and

3 1 Augusto Thomas Segovia, the Secretary of State shall in2 struct the proper officer to reduce by 5, during the current 3 or next following fiscal year, the total number of immi4 grant visas that are made available to natives of the coun5 try of the aliens’ birth under section 203(a) of the Immi6 gration and Nationality Act or, if applicable, the total 7 number of immigrant visas that are made available to na8 tives of the country of the aliens’ birth under section 9 202(e) of such Act.
