The picture below shows the wind power generator that will be analyzed using FEM software in
MATLAB. Note that there will be a 2-D velocity profile in the tunnel because of the difference in
pressure (P2 and P1):




The goal would be to use FEM (MATLAB files provided in homeworks) to generate a velocity
profile and the corresponding power that this “wind” power generator generates. MATLAB FEM
software will also be utilized to plot a velocity vs. temperature gradient in the tunnel.
