Jahia Launches New Community Edition v6 under GPL License
Major Open Source WCMS Release Boosts Jahia's Integration Performance by
                       Leveraging Content Unification
Geneva, Switzerland/ Washington DC – February 4, 2009 – Jahia, the first Web Content
Integration Software to combine Enterprise Web Content Management (WCM) with Document
Management and Portal features, today launched Jahia Community Edition v6 (www.jahia.org) as
an open source GPLv2 application. The Jahia solution for developing, integrating, publishing and
managing content has been delivered to more than 300 enterprise customers worldwide over the
past six years.

Jahia Community Edition v6 offers a WCM platform with even stronger document management and
portal features, fully leveraging AJAX technology and best of breed Open Source components, with
major enhancements in:
- Web 2.0 Ajax powered user interface, in-line editing capabilities, support for Google Analytics,
customizable toolbars, improved workflow value chain, and a modified front-end template
infrastructure

- Document management support of the “Jackrabbit” JSR 170 content repository

- Embedded Apache Plutot 2.0 library for improved support for the latest version of the Portlets
standard (JSR 286), and a centralized mashup repository.

“Thanks to a stable Business Model and a proven track record of successful implementations in
many large enterprises, Jahia confirms its leadership in the Web Content Management market.
The last major enhancement of our Web Content Integration Software enables our company to
fulfill our vision, set forth in 2002, to deliver superior Enterprise Web Content Management
software,” said Elie Auvray, CEO of Jahia.

“Jahia 6.0 introduces a lot of visible enhancements, but the most important changes are in the
underlying framework. We have introduced the GWT framework through the UI, JCR content
definitions, and a completely revised tag library, to make this version our best web content
management solution to date,” said Serge Huber CTO of Jahia

The features of the new Community Edition will also be included in the commercial Enterprise
Edition 6.0, set to launch in Q2 of 2009. Jahia’s enterprise clients include the United Nations,
Garmin International, Goldman Sachs, Virgin America, HomeAway.com, the Motorists Mutual
Insurance Company, and others. For more information on Jahia Community Edition or Jahia
