Consultation re: Proposed School ‘Admission Policies’ for 2010 – 2011: There is a
statutory consultation to 1st March 2009 for the proposed admissions policies for school entry 2010-11. These will be
made available on our Parish School Websites or through the schools directly. Any comments on the proposals should
be sent to the Chair of Governors c/o the respective school by 1st March.
Parish Directory:            We are due to start work on a new Parish Directory. Please write or E Mail us with any
changes to the existing content. We are also interested to hear your ideas about what should be included e.g. details of
groups/organisations/helpful addresses/internet sites etc etc. All ideas to be sent to the Presbytery office by 28th
February. If you know anybody who is interested in placing an advert for their business, please ask them to write or
Email the details to us. Prices for any adverts will be established a.s.a.p.
School Admissions 2009: If you require a form signed by Fr Chris and/or a copy of a Baptism certificate
to support your application to St Mary Magdalene‟s Primary; please telephone the office between 9am - 1pm for an
appointment. Fr Chris has set aside specific dates and times when he can see parents so please have your diary to hand!
The Bexhill foundation of the Union of Catholic Mothers (UCM):                                   Regrets to announce
that after 60 years it will be ceasing its activities. Fr Chris would like to sincerely thank all members for their
collective and individual support of the Parish in so many ways over that time and for their kindness and generosity.
The closing meeting was postponed due to the inclement weather. Details to follow.
Lent Faith Sharing Groups: In this Year of St Paul our Parish groups will be meeting together during
Lent to pray and reflect on the letters of St Paul as we prepare for Easter. The groups will start in the week beginning
Sun. 22 Feb. Look out for next week‟s newsletter with details of venues & times, and how to take part in a group.
Our Lady of Lourdes - Wed 11th Feb:                     This is also “World day of prayer for the sick” and a good
opportunity to pray for all who serve God in their sickness and suffering.
