Winter in Valdivia, a provincial town in Southern Chile. A shopping mall guardian falls in love with an
elegant thief who schmoozes him with her erotic advances. A blind skier whose sight comes slowly
back after an operation feels actually terrorised by what he is able to see now. At a company, the
employees have a last party while the management already offers courses on how to behave as an
unemployed person. Everything is somehow irreal which corresponds to the form of the film. It's about
dreams, wishes and disappointments. It's not easy to distinguish one from the other either. Nobody really
understands what is going on. Humorous elements are mixed up with the melancholic tone of the film.
The director says that, as a child, he could not decide if he wanted to be a sociologist or a stand-up
comedian. The film contains a dash of both views on the absurdities of life.
