FROM: Hank Jun, President
SUBJECT: Appreciation & Future Goals
______________________________________________________________________________
I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank you!” to each and every one
of you for your participation and dedication in serving our communities from
your respective law enforcement agencies.
In addition to your profession, you have chosen to be a part of our great
organization - The California Asian Peace Officers Association (CAPOA), which
has been in existence for over forty (40) years. I truly believe that as a “Peace
Officer,” we all want to make a difference in our communities, and because of
it, we became a part of the CAPOA family.
As it states in our “CAPOA History” column, “Our members serve as positive
role models in the community and strive to promote the concept of
Asians serving in the law enforcement profession……,”
I would like to see that we continue to follow the traditions that our founders of
CAPOA have set forty (40) years ago. I truly believe that by working together
with the community, we can accomplish many of those goals and be more
productive to our communities.
Therefore, as the incoming President for the 2008 ~ 2009, I would like to
personally invite you to be more active in your CAPOA, so we can accomplish
new goals to benefit our members, to promote change, and to better serve our
communities.
As a new elected President of the CAPOA, here are some of the projects that I
would like to accomplish:
Enhance our website to be interactive with members: www.capoa.net to
