Top Product Honors for Billing Industry at IIR's World Billing Awards

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (04/27/2004) Global customer care and billing solutions
provider CSG Systems (NASDAQ: CSGS) today announced that its Kenan® FX
business framework was named Most Innovative Product by the International Institute
for Research's (IIR) 2004 World Billing Awards.

The awards were announced at the 7th annual awards gala held as part of IIR's Billing
Systems trade show in London.

The World Billing Awards reward billing best practices and help raise awareness of the
significance of the billing process to the communications industry. They are widely
regarded as the highest industry recognition of billing excellence.

framework has received this significant recognition from the global billing community,"

brings together the most comprehensive customer care and billing framework available

industry's highest honors."

This latest industry recognition builds upon CSG's significant success with the Kenan®
FX framework since it was introduced to the market six months ago.

To−date, 14 operators worldwide have selected solutions within the Kenan® FX
framework to support their billing and customer care needs. Of these, 12 are existing
customers that are in various stages of upgrading their solutions to Kenan® FX
framework and two are new CSG customers. These operators support a wide variety of
telecommunications services, including wireline, mobile, IP and broadband.

"Operators today want billing and customer care systems that have the ability to handle
a wide range of services and that minimize up−front investment in custom integration

operators the ability to choose the most appropriate applications that meet their needs
today and the flexibility to add additional modules in the future."

The Kenan FX framework brings together the world−class Kenan billing applications,

revenue−enabling solutions and order and customer management products that address
an operator's needs throughout its relationship with a customer.

The products and modules available within Kenan FX are pre−integrated, share a
common look−and−feel for all customer−facing functions and use a common middle
layer architecture. This approach gives operators the flexibility to choose solutions that
best fit their business needs today while preserving their freedom to quickly add
complementary tools to address emerging business models and specific business
challenges.

Kenan FX is designed to serve the needs of the convergent global telecommunications
marketplace, including next generation mobile, wireline, broadband and IP service
providers. This new offering is available in a variety of delivery models, including as an
in−house software solution, a service bureau or managed operations. Solutions within
Kenan FX fall within four main areas, including:

      • Customer Management—A family of applications designed to increase
        customer satisfaction and retention as well as the value of each customer.

        The flagship solution in this category is Customer Center, a state−of−the art call
        center interface that provides mission−critical customer care functionality
        tailored to a telecom operator's needs without the functionality overhead or cost
        of a traditional CRM system. Customer Center provides order fulfillment and
        customer care support in a single application that is integrated with billing, and
        can address any language or multiple languages and any currency.

        Also included are Orders Modules, which provide comprehensive orders
        functionality that is integrated with Customer Center, providing a full view of a
        customer's order history, pending orders and other orders information. These
        modules include a request handling and tracking module that provides the
        generation, management and fulfillment of service orders.

        CSG® Total Care, a solution that delivers customer profile management
        capabilities as well as automated customer self−service and electronic billing is
        also part of this family of solutions.

      • Revenue Enablement—Solutions that help operators create, track and bill for
        any service that crosses their network. This family of solutions includes CSG®
        Prepaid, CSG Kenan® Rating Server, CSG® Data Mediation, CSG Kenan®
        Revenue Settlements as well as several other modules that support thresholding,
        rules−based rating, discounting, and more.
      • Billing Engines—At the heart of Kenan FX is the newest version of CSG
        Kenan/BP, a real−time billing platform that rates and bills for any
        transaction−based service in the next generation mobile and wireline telephony,
        cable/satellite and IP markets. With a worldwide customer base in more than 40
        countries, CSG Kenan/BP supports any language and any currency.

        Featured in this new release are enhancements to support next generation
        balance management, including event time unit credits, taxation, invoice
        calculation, discounting as well as tools that allow an operator to configure and
        manage the billing system self−sufficiently.

      • Advanced Integration Capabilities−− Kenan FX provides a variety of integration
        technologies, including a comprehensive middle layer that includes a single API
        transaction set across all Kenan FX solutions, open APIs to reduce conversion
        time with third−party applications and high−level APIs that encapsulate
        business logic to simplify and speed up development tasks.
