• • • • I'd rather go to a place where I can relax. I prefer those places with lots of atmosphere at night. I enjoy going to nightclubs and meeting strangers. I prefer to be in contact with nature, to get up early and go for long walks. Of course I enjoy myself when I go with my family, but I'd rather spend a holiday with my friends. I prefer family holidays. We go somewhere where everybody has a good time and we can be together away from everyday routine. I prefer a campsite, it's cheaper and you don't need to make a reservation. I prefer packaged holidays where you don't need to bother to make all the arrangements. My favourite holiday would be a fortnight in a first class hotel. In my opinion, I'd personally go to an exotic faraway country. Full board, half board or self-catering? I'd choose self-catering, it gives you more independence when you are on holiday. Besides it's cheaper.

TAPS PROJECT (TOURISM AROUND PARTNERSHIP SCHOOLS) Dear students, We are involved in a European project together with three other schools: Hartsdown Technology College (United Kingdom), Kruisheren Kollege (Holland) and Vedeby Skolan (Sweden). The idea of the project is to introduce the students of the other countries to the geographical attractions of Cantabria with particular reference to climate, landscape, coastline, leisure activities and recreation. The other students will give us some information about their tourist attractions in exchange. In order to achieve this objective, we will ask and answer questions to each other, which we will send through e -mail. We will use English as a target language, both to search the information and explain our attractions to the others. Finally, we will put up a little exhibition at the entrance hall where our findings about Cantabria and the other European towns and regions will be displayed to the rest of the students of the E.O.I. ♦ RULESFOR PARTICIPATION: If you want to take part you will have to answer the questions provided by your teacher (that your teacher gives you) You can search the information required at the self-asses room, by using the Internet or different tourist leaflets. You can also use other Spanish sources as far as you write your answers in English Note: There will be an information sheet with instructions on how to use the Internet and a file with tourist leaflets for the project in the self-asses room Once you find the information, you should have it corrected by your teacher. Write down your definitive version on the answer sheet provided (It will help if you can type or use a word processor) Finally give your answer sheet to your teacher.
