					ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
If you desire a career in the field of accounting, you might want to consider the Accounting Specialist Program. Upon graduation, you will be able to distinguish, analyze, summarize, communicate and record business transactions. You will be able to enter a well-paying job market with technical courses in accounting and computers. Your oral and written communication skills will be addressed throughout the whole program, along with the technical skills needed to succeed in the field of accounting. The internship part of the program provides you with a professional work environment under the combined guidance of a faculty member and a cooperating employer where the skills and procedures studied in the classroom are observed and practiced. Employment opportunities are found in commercial business, government offices, public accounting firms and non-profit entities. You may start fall term at the Boone or Urban Camus. Selected courses in this program are offered at other campuses. Program Entry Requirements      Complete an application Satisfy the assessment requirement Attend any required information/registration sessions ADM 157 Intro to Keyboarding or equivalent High school Algebra II or higher or MAT073 and/or MAT 141

Graduate Requirements To earn an Accounting specialist AAS degree, you must complete the requirements for the degree, maintain a 2.0 grade point average and receive a grade of C or above in all ACC course work.
