General Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Automotive Quality Assurance, the Quality Analyst will assist quality engineering and
operations in ensuring adequate quality of shipped product, and address quality escapes and other customer quality
concerns as they arise.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  Provide support for internal and external problem solving and process improvements. In support of this,
    may serve as champion, team leader or member of formally created cross-functional team
  Perform failure analyses utilizing modem diagnostic, dissection, and analytical techniques
  Generate Control Plans
  Perform System and Process audits
  Interface with customers on quality issues
  Prepare corrective action reports for customers in customer-prescribed format
  Enact Material Review Board decisions
  Represent quality assurance in design reviews of products and processes to ensure that quality is
    controllable and expected reliability is realistic
  Coordinate Change Control Board activities
  International Material Data System (IMDS) submissions/input

Job Specifications:
  AS required / BS preferred
  3-5 years of progressively responsible exp. in quality processes in a high volume manufacturing
    environment
  Self-starter with the ability to meet committed schedules
  Good writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and peers
  Computer knowledge – (spreadsheet, word processor, email, presentation)
  Some travel may be required (sometimes requiring an overnight stay, occasionally overseas)
  Must be able to read and understand English.
  Knowledge/experience in the following:
    o The PPAP process
    o Preparing IMBS submissions
    o Application of SPC
    o Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
    o Control plans
    o Structured problem-solving techniques
    o Participation in process improvement efforts
    o Auditing
  Knowledge / experience / skills a plus:
    o Certification as an ISO/TS16949:2002 auditor
    o Six Sigma methods
    o Design of Experiments techniques (DOE)
    o Statistical analysis

Working Conditions: (List items such as noise, temperature, lighting etc.)
Working environment includes the test laboratories, manufacturing floor, prototype shop, machine shop,
and all other company operation areas. Some of the test and manufacturing areas include exposure to noise
and may require hearing protection. Safety training in the handling of pyrotechnic materials is required.
Protective clothing and safety equipment must frequently be worn. Year-round daily exposure to the
outdoor environment occurs. The physical demands and the work environment characteristics described
