The Eddie Fraser Electrical League was concluded recently, and what a finale it turned out to be in the ladies section. Going in to the last week Elaine Gray held a slim lead over Moira Nicolson closely followed by Christine West. With these three competing against each other it was Christine who won last weeks League match, followed by Moira and Elaine coming in third. After careful deliberation over the final results by league organiser Stevie Harvey, Elaine was declared the winner by one point over Moira and Christine just one point further behind. Amazing, that after a whole seasons play there would be just two points between the first three players. Congratulations to Elaine on retaining her title. In the mens section Eoin Ballantine continues to dominate. Although he didn’t quite manage to accomplish his amazing feat of last year by winning every week he entered, he still won by a large margin ahead of second placed Calvin Reid. Well done To Eoin who is currently playing some excellent badminton and setting the standard amongst the men. It was good to see so many juniors taking part in the league and it will surely just be a matter of time before they start to punctuate the list of senior names with their own!
