SUPPORTING
YOUNG PLUMBERS
Yorkshire supported the 2007 National Plumbing
Apprentice Competition for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The competition, which is organised by the Scottish and Northern
Ireland Plumbing and Employers’ Federation (SNIPEF), brings
together apprentices from each of the technical colleges in Scotland
and Northern Ireland that teach the plumbing qualification.
The winner was Danny Thornburn, an apprentice plumber from
Jewel and Esk Valley College in Dalkieth. Danny was amongst 17
competitors from colleges in Scotland and Northern Ireland who
took part in the two-day competition.
Yorkshire provided the tube used in the competition and every
competitor received a Yorkshire polo shirt and a pack of
Yorkshire gifts.
Winner:
Danny Thornburn.
