							RAGS, Reynardine Availability Graphing System
RAGS is a purpose built user interface with an underlying Microsoft Access database to keep records of availability of rentable items and show that availability in the office and at your web site. Each record can be a property or perhaps a room in the case of hotels and bed+breakfasts. Other applications include boats, campsites, meeting rooms, etc. It allows 3 separate years of reservations over every day in each year. A customer database is maintained from which the appropriate customer can be assigned to the rentable item. You rapidly find availability, make reservations and then generate the web pages with current availability in a couple of clicks. Set a 'Web Window' of dates to show availability between a range of dates at the web. Red days are booked, gray unavailable, blue reserved, yellow cancelled. View the web availability at your office within the program. You can Group rental items together to create associated GROUP availability web pages. Web availability pages are sent with a single click to your web site with the built in file transfer function:

You have fast find on important fields using the Find buttons. You also have find on the other fields by clicking on that individual field and using the general Find button. You have 4 user defined field labels.

Using the Query button on the customer pane, you can filter/analysis your customers/bookings to create record sets matching custom criteria. You can then save to file for mail merge. Other functions available as add in modules are Email to filter or SMS to filter so you can send the same message to the filter set as an email or text message:

All important fields are included in the drop down eg: post code, town, surname plus the user defined fields. You can then search for records where that field contains, begins with or equals the search text you enter. You can further filter the records to bookings only matching the filter.

You can customise the booking details with 8 user defined fields, print an invoice:

You can generate the web availability pages off-line based on a time stamp since last Booking taken:

Once the pages have been generated, transfer only those last modified to the web:

At the web, users can see what is currently available:

At the web, your visitor clicks on the available dates, only the green cells are ‘hot’. Then they click ‘Send Request’ and fill in their details and post the request to you. Reserved,

booked or unavailable dates cannot be clicked on to select. These pages can easily be integrated into your current web site with a simple script to allow these pages to popup at the appropriate place on your site.

The form forces visitors to include the important fields to you. Also the form remembers the details for next visits. Note the requested dates and property have automatically been added.

You can then import emails received into RAGS:

The web enabled version of RAGS is leased at £30 per month. Experience has shown that if web visitors can see current availability they are much more likely to make an impulse decision to book the rental. If non is shown, they promise themselves to contact you later but often don’t. Catching just 1 booking per month would generally pay for RAGS. A minimum of 3 months rental is required. If you wish to use RAGS just as an office application to record bookings and not use the web availability feature it is available for a one off cost of £400. Prices subject to VAT.
