“FLOORTWO”: a new concept in food & beverage
Entirely devoted to enjoyable eating and drinking, the second floor – hence the name “FLOORTWO” – places side by side The Restaurant, The Lounge and The Bar. While each venue has its own specific feel and culinary style, guests may choose the setting for their meal or drink according to ambiance … and still be free to choose from any of the restaurants’ menus! The Restaurant The Restaurant offers all-day dining. Although luxurious, the surroundings radiate homey comfort and cosiness. A central, circular fireplace creates a striking contrast between dancing flames and the smooth surface of the lake. Modern chandeliers made of coloured crystal beads diffuse a warm light. The simple, snug furniture, in tones of brown, beige and light blue, invites one to linger for breakfast, a leisurely meal or simply a quick bite at any time of day. Or even, on Sunday, for one of the several brunches on offer… During the warm season, glass doors are slid back to reveal a decked terrace, which is a natural prolongation of The Restaurant and gives guests the impression they are gliding onto the Lake. Imagine sipping cocktails or nibbling fine titbits with an uninterrupted view over the Lake, the Jet d’Eau and the Alps… Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. With some 156 specialities on offer, every guest will doubtlessly find something to his taste! Among others, an organic buffet is available. Bread and pastries are baked ‘live’ in the show kitchen and served at the tables while still warm. 24 different breads are offered, including organic breads all made with local produce. The absolute “must” is certainly the brewer’s yeast bread, the flour of which is made with a traditional grindstone. Try and resist! ... A cook is also in attendance to prepare your egg specialties before your eyes. Apart from breakfast, The Restaurant invites you to taste its creative cuisine offering a contemporary seasonal menu including fish and meat dishes alongside with pasta and risotto.

Young Chefs welcome! Children taking a meal with their parents are invited to don the Chef’s traditional white cap and help the pastry Chef prepare his goodies in the show kitchen. A photograph immortalizes the instant! The Restaurant is open from 6.30 am to midnight and seats 92 indoors and 68 on the terrace. The Lounge Next to The Restaurant, at the heart of the hotel, The Lounge, is the perfect place to meet and greet. Those with business in mind can choose straight-backed chairs and tables; those seeking a respite can relax in deep armchairs. Whatever one’s purpose, it can be fulfilled here. The Lounge offers exceptional views over the lake, Jet d'eau and mountains.

The Lounge offers “easy fare” such as hamburgers, club sandwiches and salads as well as a stupendous array of ice creams compositions which are bound to appeal to others than children… Food is served in the Lounge between 6 am and midnight The Lounge seats 120. Talk of the Town Bar Decidedly trend-setting, The Bar is worth dwelling upon … and in. Remarkable for its unusual sofas, white leather armchairs, dark floor and glittering chrome fittings. No single piece of furniture is standard. The columns supporting the ceiling have been decorated in glass Bizzaza mosaic. Open between 5 pm and 1 am, The Bar, with a seating capacity of 120, will tempt you with extravagant cocktails and tapas-style fusion food, which feature such delicacies as tomato jelly with hibiscus and Sarawak watermelon, roast dried calamari cube with litchis, foie gras dices with passion fruit and litchis, prawns in a harumaki puff paste and mango yoghurt or Fresh goat cheese terrine with ginger and lime. The Bar is the perfect start to the night complemented by the Java Club, an ‘all in one’ restaurant and nightclub and Geneva’s trendiest night entertainment venue. Fine world cuisine, lavish sofas and good music: a place where the visitor can relax, have dinner, dance and enjoy. It combines a creative ‘bistro-chic’ ambience with the fun and glamour of upscale nightclubbing. Elsewhere in the Hotel… On the first floor, two other restaurants cater for the famished. The Grill gives pride of place to simple dishes, prepared from first class products. In a sober décor, dominated by the colours of emotion – black and red – The Grill specialises in succulent steaks and sizzling seafood, in a modern reinterpretation of traditional grill fare. The products are stored in two glass-fronted, walk-in fridges and cooked on a 1,4 m large grill and 1,8 m high spit, placed along one of the sides of the dining room. Simple and of the highest quality: such is the motto of the whole Grill. The quality is echoed in the choice of material used for the decoration: the dark floorboards are made from old walnut, one wall is covered in mother-of-pearl and coverings are of ebony and thin strips of copper. The Grill is open from Tuesday to Saturday, for lunch and dinner. Alternatively, guests seeking a change of scene may treat themselves to the Tse Yang, one of Geneva's finest Chinese restaurants. Here, gastronomic Chinese cuisine is served in an authentic atmosphere against the outstanding backdrop of the lake and the Alps. The two Chinese-style private rooms are a unique offering. State-of-the art equipment for round the clock catering At the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva, it is thus possible to select food and drink from a 68-page menu any time between 6am and 1am!
