Introduction
Thank you for your interest in Zoo Ministries, we are confident that after you review this documentation you will be compelled to endorse the vision that God has constructed for the ministry. Zoo Ministries is a Christian based non-profit organization that reaches out to athletes with a passion for extreme sports. Zoo Ministry‟s primary purpose is to introduce Jesus Christ to non-believers, and by example and prayer, turn them into fully devoted followers of Christ. We believe that our training program at Zoo Ministries is a safe, non-threatening place where people can connect with others that have similar interests. Our goal is to connect with every individual and inspire him or her to live their lives to the fullest, with God being in the center. Equipping our athletes to be all they can be, helping them to achieve all that God has created for them. We host several venues that enable our leadership to teach biblical principals. Our personal trainers and team Pro athletes share real life stories where God has performed miracles and lead people to His kingdom. These venues include:  Weekly Bible Studies  Private Track Ride Days  Desert Trips  Motocross Schools  Amateur support  Team Race Days  AMA Supercross and Motocross Events The Bible studies have been held now for the past seven years and are scheduled every Thursday night from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and take place at Life Church in Mission Viejo. The first thirty minutes are spent connecting with everyone in a time of fellowship while we have extreme sports videos playing on a big screen. Then we open with prayer and worship. Each week we may have pastors from different churches come to speak and share biblical principals that apply to the topics we are teaching, or our group leaders will lead a study. We also have riders give their testimonies as they apply to the topic. This keeps our study interesting for everyone and helps us connect with different age groups that are attending.

When Zoo Ministries first started out, meetings where held at private homes for Bible studies and we had small group ride days at local tracks. By the grace of God, Zoo Ministries has grown from about 10 people attending at a home to averaging from 25 to 50 people meeting at the youth center of Life Church. Zoo Ministries has grown over seven fold in only a few years. We now rent entire tracks to have ride days exclusively for Zoo Ministries members and sponsored riders. These ride days and MX schools happen approximately five times a year and we have over 2 attendees. Zoo Ministries offers training for our racers and motocross schools taught by professional racers who teach riding skills, techniques and nutrition. We also provide product and financial support for our amateurs, instilling in them the love that Christ has for us in everything we do. Our Ocotillo Wells desert trips are from two to five days long. We minister to 15 - 45 riders during these trips. At each event, our staff does their best to come out and support the event, taking the opportunity to teach, pray and worship God with the riders. This creates lasting memories as well as a solid Christian foundation for young people to experience. Zoo Ministries has affiliations with many churches in Southern California and we are hoping to expand these affiliations by offering programs and events at their facilities. Some of the events include Demonstration Days, Professional Racer testimonies and basic motorcycle riding classes. Zoo Ministries is planning on growing bigger and stronger by the Grace of God. We will continue our efforts to lead athletes to Christ by keeping God as the center of our lives, racing, schools, and our hearts. It is our prayer that what you are reading will touch you and compel you to financially support the mission of our ministry.

Mission Statement and Purpose
Our vision at Zoo World Ministries is a simple one. God‟s word says to preach the Gospel and “make disciples of all nations”, and that is what we strive hardest to do. Because of the physical challenges and dangers associated with extreme sports, the athletes who are involved in such sports are often putting their lives on the line every time they go out to practice or compete. The leaders at Zoo World Ministries believe that in order to do well mentally and physically, we need to be athletes “in the spirit”. The armor of God is the biggest, most important form of protection any of us will ever need, and our goal is to get this mind set into all of the athletes we sponsor. We are a non profit religious entity who raises money to support athletes of extreme sports, helping to equip our athletes to be all they can be, achieving all that God has created for them. In the future, we hope to obtain land in the southern California area, on which we can build our own training facility to train up and coming athletes. We would like to be able to provide a well maintained park for both the professional and amateur- a safe and wholesome environment. In the past seven years we have seen minor and major miracles happen in our ministry: We have seen drug addicts completely healed, we have seen broken families reunited, and we have seen hope returned to the lives of those who felt they were lost and alone in this world. Through the teaching of Biblical principles, we show people how God is the ultimate protector, healer, and provider. In our Bible studies we teach people how to stay spiritually focused by staying grounded in God‟s word. Approximately 10% of all donations is used for administration fees, and the other percentage goes for the sponsorship of racers and schools. Zoo Ministries counteracts this lack by offering: MX schools and private MX training with qualified team trainers MX event sponsorship, demonstrations and team races BMX Team, Skate Team Skateboard line (777 Skateboards) design, manufacturing and distribution Biblical studies and teaching, opening prayer sessions at AMA and local events Zoo Ministries currently offers MX schools and Amateur race support at our local tracks, incorporating a bible study on Thursday night, as well as physical and nutritional instruction. At this time, Zoo Ministries is in the beginning stages of developing a Sports Camp that will offer further instruction in Motocross, and additional extreme sports such as Skateboarding, Mountain Biking and BMX, FMX.

Zoo Ministries Founder & History
STEVE SHIPPY – Founder & Executive Director, Zoo Ministries You might assume that being born in Detroit in 1961 had something to do with Steve Shippy‟s love of wheels, and it probably did. However, in this case we are not talking automobiles, but Motocross (MX), skateboarding and other extreme sports. At the age of seven, Shippy‟s family moved to Southern California, where Steve‟s older brother introduced him to MX racing. Steve soon won his first competition at El Toro Raceway, hooking him on motocross. The thrill of racing, competition and risk had him competing regularly after that. He raced five days a week, for over ten years; at California‟s most infamous tracks like Saddleback and Carlsbad. He became a pro MX racer at 14, and by 16 was top rider in the National Motor Sport Association, (NMA). At the age of 16, Steve captured the #1 plate racing against top pros Jeff Ward, Rick Johnson and Jim Holley. Steve had the good fortune of training with international racer and champion Gary Semics. From 1982 through „86, Steve struggled with serious physical injuries but still placed many times in the top 10 in World Class MX competition. He was back in form in late ‟86. He was in the top ranks at the CMC Golden State Nationals when he suffered additional injuries. Since then, his focus on racing has changed from competing to training, although he still competes in „Vet Pro‟ races. Steve wanted to combine his love of extreme sports as well as his understanding of the sport and sponsors with a higher purpose. He wanted to take thirty-five years of experience in pro sports and team competition to show mechanics, trainers, parents and others how to relate to the professional rider and the youth. Extreme sports have proven to be an outlet that lets Steve combine this passion with an introduction to Christianity for those who might never have the exposure. Through Motocross, and future programs like Freestyle FMX, Skateboarding, BMX, Surfing and shifter kart racing Zoo Ministries has begun to set it‟s course.. ZWM is a fiveyear-old nonprofit Christian organization and outreach that is multi-dimensional. Its purpose is to reach youth (and the young at heart) using extreme sports while incorporating a positive alternative to the many dark images that abound in many extreme sports. Not many local facilities or programs offer teens Christian-based options.

Sponsored Ministries
Zoo’s Wild Kingdom Adventure Zoo Ministries has teamed up with Kingdom Adventures and recently helped copurchase 12 acres of land in the Philippines. Twenty houses will be built on this property to house homeless children. Each house will hold 10 children. Zoo Ministries is raising funds to build the next 15 homes.

777 Skate Boards 777 Skateboards is a company that believes it is time to offer the skateboarding community an alternative way of looking at skateboarding. For the most part, the Skateboard industry has literally bombarded youth of today with evil and immoral values in the form of graphics found on the bottom of skate decks and clothing. Sometimes it is blatant, sometimes it is subtle, but the fact remains that it is far from positive. We at 777 think it is time that we offer an alternative. You do not have to be “religious” to appreciate our designs. Yes, we are Christians, but we are trying to reach out to those who believe and those who do not believe nor even have a clue about “Christianity”. What does “777” stand for? In the Bible, the number seven stands for completion and perfection-- 777 is the alternative to 666 and you do not need to be a Christian to know what that stands for. If you are tired of skulls and crossbones, violent “cartoons” and messages of death, if you are looking for something different, check out what we have to offer. Racers for Jesus Zoo World Ministries has teamed up with John Rhodes and his ministry, Racers for Jesus. John has a passion for the youth in ATV and Quad racing. John‟s son Jacob came through the Zoo Ministries MX schools and it went so well that Zoo decided to sponsor him. From there John Rhodes and Steve Shippy formed a team of ATV racers and a sponsorship program. At selected off-road events Zoo and Racers for Jesus will be working the Whiplash organization offering reimbursement for racers entries and discounts on engine modifications and parts. All we ask is that the kids wanting sponsorship come to our pre race bible study and prayer at each race event and RFJ and Zoo will pay their entries.

Goals & Objectives
Goals Accomplished: Only by God‟s grace were our seasonal goals for 2007 through 2009 accomplished beyond our expectations when one of our Zoo Ministries riders broke into top 10 in the Super-Cross Lites class and National series. We received great positive recognition as a new AMA Professional team and received adequate financial and sponsorship support. Over 275 kids have joined and been a part of our Zoo Ministries MX schools/ Team and Bible Study groups since 2007. With former and current riders like #63 Jesse Casillas, #68 Kyle Mace, #73 Dylan Lord, #940 Matt Karlsen and #63 Mike Raines, Zoo Racing had some impressive finishes with Casillas breaking into the top 10 in AMA Lites class. Casillas held a 12th place finish in the 2009 AMA Outdoors. Many lives have been changed and transformed through the combination of Christ and Motocross. Through prayer and leadership we hope to continue to grow and reach many others who are in need of a life-changing experience through extreme sports. Next Season’s Goals: Our 200/2010 season goal is to continue gaining recognition as a one of the best Amateur training programs in the U.S. backed by industry and factory support. With Team Zoo‟s years of combined Pro racing experience we will be putting our focus on our schools to raise up the next generation or Motocross superstars. Zoo Ministries will continue to promote AMA professional racers as well. Plans for the Future: Our plans for the future are to continue to grow and receive more support for our schools and race team, as well as having our riders‟ racing results steadily improve each race. We hope to have another year filled with great accomplishments and God‟s presence in the AMA Super-Cross, Motocross and the Amateur National community. We would also like to support a number of Professional and Amateur riders racing on our team, sending them to compete in AMA Supercross, Motorcross and the major Amateur Nationals like Ponca City and Loretta Lynn. Zoo Ministries is currently working on a Riders‟ Foundation to financially assist injured riders and we are in the development stages of planning Zoo Ministries MX camps at Competitive Edge MX Park in Hesperia, California. These camps will incorporate the teaching of extreme sports skills and physical excellence combined with the teachings of the gospel. Our goal is to be able to effectively show how God can help us achieve our goals if we just seek Him, and how much we all need His divine protection in everything that we do.
