This was held at the Parks Community Centre on May 22nd. Paula Nielson, who is taking on the role of Manager of Swimming & Aquatics, was introduced. In December 2008, Peter Roberts took on the role of Acting/Assistant Director Disabilities and State-wide Programs. Mark Williams took on the role of Manager but has since returned to his previous position. Trish Winter has taken on a new position and thus Peter Roberts continues to fill this role. At this stage it is not known when Peter will resume the position of Manager. Debbie Wright continues as Operations Manager.

In July 2008, Elizabeth Aquadome closed for many upgrading. This meant the instructors needed to find an alternative venue (Parafield Pool) and revise the entire timetable to accommodate the reduction in available space. Additional problems involved the shifting of equipment and organising bus transport for those schools that had previously been able to walk to swimming lessons. There were the inevitable delays before the centre was ready but looking at the above photos it would appear the wait was well worth it. Anita (Elizabeth IC) said her staff made the transition to the temporary pool a smooth one with no complaints. The council also provided support as did the management at Parafield Pool. She extends her thanks to all.
