Cobar goes ‘drag’ for controversial film
                    “Brokeback Mountain”

Cobar goes drag this Saturday 27th May in a special Cobar
Arts Council screening of controversial film “Brokeback
Mountain”. Dressed in their very best cowboy/cowgirl
‘drag’ filmgoers will converge on the Cobar cinema for a
showstopper of a night - and with prizes being awarded for
the wildest costumes, competition is expected to be fierce.

Starring Australia’s very own Heath Ledger, the multi
academy award winner is a story of unconventional love –
in the form of a relationship between two cowboys. And
while the concept is no doubt still a controversial one, the
vibrant mining town has embraced the gala event with
open arms.

Ticket enquiries for Cobar’s Brokeback Mountain Gala
Screening (which includes beverages, wine (over 18s), and
gourmet finger foods) can be directed to the Cobar
Cinema Café (02) 6836-3819 or Outback Arts 02 6822 2484.
