Lodging establishments in Dripping Springs have provided lodging in exchange for media space that fell through when another advertiser pulled out of the deal, leaving over $400 for accommodations used by US Media. Multiple inclusion advertising requires that all of the available space is filled in order for the seller to work profitably. If all the parts do not align, it is easy for deals to fall apart. Many summer travelers who booked through vacationsway.com have arrived at their destination only to discover the hotel has no record of their reservation. Noel Enriquez booked 11 rooms for a group vacation that was prepaid by credit card. When he tried to contact Vacationsway, their phones did not work and the Web site had been removed. Fortunately for Mr. Enriquez, paying by credit card allowed him some degree of direct recourse. Other consumers filing complaints were not as fortunate because they paid for their reservations in cash. Landscaper turns Lawn Disappointment Klaun's Lawn Service has an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business BureauÒ at Fort Worth. Klaun's Lawn Service, Alvarado, Texas, has left a cloud of dirt behind on their way to the bank while consumers see only greener lawns next door. Diane Pridgen gave Eric Downs, owner of Klaun's, a deposit for sod she expected to be placed in her yard. The deposit check was cashed quickly but the sod never appeared. Vu Chinh Nguyen of Arlington also hired Mr. Downs after he approached he and his wife at a local Home Depot about putting sod and a pond in their backyard. After pressing to pay him only after materials arrived, Mr. Downs came with a small bobcat, dug the hole for the pond and roughed up the rest of the yard. Left with a promise of materials arriving, Mr. Nguyen wrote a deposit check. That was the last the Nguyen's saw of Mr. Downs and the cash from the deposit.
All American Paving Leaves Spotty Impression All American Paving has an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business BureauÒ at Fort Worth. All American Paving, Fort Worth, leaves consumers questioning the quality of work provided, if the work gets done at all. Consumer complaints allege the company fails to honor contract agreements by not starting the job after payment has been given to All American Paving. Others allege that after the job is completed, repairs are needed and the company does not return. When the company has been contacted, Ray Luna, the owner, has stated the complaints are not his. This company also operates under Raymond Concrete & Asphalt and Metroplex Concrete and Asphalt.
