Apple is ABO certified, and works at the Pacific University College of Optometry. A longtime supporter of optical education Marcia is branching out to include speaking at regional continuing education meetings. Marcia is currently Secretary of the Optician’s Association of Oregon. Sandra Goddard is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician who has worked at Kaiser Permanente for the last 10 years. Sandra has trained many students and new employees at her clinical site. Sandra has served as an Advisory Board Member for Ophthalmic Medical Technology Program for Portland Community College for the past 3 years. Because of Sandra’s commitment to education she was elected board member of The Site Counsel Of North Clackamas School. Suzette Guerrero is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician with over 10 years experience, working in University, group, and private practice settings. Suzette is currently and instructor in Portland Community Colleges Ophthalmic Medical Technology Program, and is noted for her enthusiastic leadership in labs and workshops. C. David Lien, LDO, ABOC, NCLEC, is current president of the Optician’s Association of Oregon. Dave works as a dispensing optician at Kaiser Permanente in Portland Oregon. Dave is actively involved in Prevent Blindness America‘s children’s vision screening program, has gone on several international missions, and is setting up a network of volunteers to staff vision screening clinics for the needy in our region. Woody Linn is a Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America, and has been working in the optical industry for over 20 years. Advancing education in ophthalmology, Woody has had a recurring column in Eye Witness magazine, and is a regular speaker at regional and national meetings. Woody has taught classes in the Portland Community College Ophthalmic Medical Technology Program, and is on the faculty of the CLSA University. Ginny Mercer is a Licensed Dispensing Optician in the state of Washington. Ginny has served as a Washington State Examiner for Licensed Dispensing Opticians for several years. A contact lens specialist (including pediatric contact lens fittings), Ginny is versed in a wide variety of specialty contact lens fits. Ginny is excited about advancing education in the field of contact lenses. Lyle Regimbald, OD is currently practicing optometry at Kaiser Permanente. The face of volunteerism in our community, Dr. Regimbald is often seen working to make sure all in need get proper vision care. The Opticians Association of Oregon welcomes Dr. Regimbald to our list of educational resources. Nicholas S. Schubach is Lead Ophthalmic Technician in the Cornea department at the Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. Nick is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician, as well as being ABO and NCLE certified. Nick has worked in the optical and eye industry for over 10 years, is a graduate of the Portland Community College Ophthalmic Medical Technology Program. Nick has years of experience in associated healthcare and social services settings and is a legend for his high standards and commitment to the public health. Aaron V. Shukla Ph.D, COMT is Associate Professor and Program Director of the Ophthalmic Technician Program at The College of St. Catherine in Minneapolis, MN. Aaron is currently vice president of the Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology, and has served as Director of Programs and Services for JCAHPO. Aaron was the first program director of the COMT Program in Little Rock AR. Duanna VanCamp ABO, COT, NCLE, has been an instructor in the Portland Community College Ophthalmic Medical Technology Program for the past 15 years, and is the past treasurer for the Optician’s Association of Oregon.
