I hope my docs prove useful to you as they have to many already. I have collected a lot of docs and notes from around the web over the years and put them online when I joined Docstoc in October 2007. Some may not have tags yet,...

Now, I'll answer your question. I'll keep it short but I could go on for hours on this subject. "Why do annoying people get what they want while the rest of us regular "Joe Shomoes" while away in unfulfilling jobs?". The key to real success, intentional & desired success is focus, to get focus you need to ask yourself hard questions, analytical questions. It looks like you're often thinking about your failure to get a job you want and like. The consequence is the subject matter of your domninating thoughts -a job that you don't like or want. But there's much more to it than that. Other KEY factors are high self-esteem, outstanding confidence, and unstoppable belief in yourself! The evidence of everything I'm telling you is available from 100's of reports and is collated into dozens of great books. Scientists call it "auto-suggestion" -the fact that dominating thoughts control your behaviour, your successes, your relationships, EVERYTHING. Scientists however are sometimes dumb! They refuse to research the subject in any great detail simply because they do not know how to quantify and measure the mind. Another key point is to have goals. "Without direction, every road leads there." I forgot who said that but it is very true. You need to start by defining your beliefs and values. Know what you really want in your heart. It's your life, so don't get pressured into something that isn't really you. I'll send you something soon on this subject of finding your 'purpose' and living your life "on purpose". As for goals; once you know what truly YOU want to do, then you must "take enthusiatic action" towards achieveing your goals. There must be one primary goal which influences the success of other goals, for example raising self-esteem. Each must be 'emotionalised' to ensure achievement. This means you must have a real emotional need to achieve that goal. Also 'chunk down' your goals into easy steps even down into what you do each day towards achieving your goals. Ok, that's all for now, I'll tell you more if you want to know. I was thinking I'll put this text on my website too. The above information is the secret to life, what some call "the meaning of life". I touched on beliefs and values. Your beliefs, values, and dominating thoughts are known as your "paradigm". It is how you see the world. Everybody has a unique paradigm which is conditioned mainly in childhood. Our experiences are what evolves your paradigm which is why it is unique to each person. Your paradigm might be something like "I feel I can be successful but I don't deserve to extremely successful as my friend would feel jealous". Perhaps you were bullied at school which resulted in "If I succeed again, then I could get attacked again". Do you see what I mean? What you need is a "paradigm shift", what psychologists call "transference". You need to constantly have in the back of your mind and believe something like "I can achieve anything I want, I am unstoppable, I have supreme confidence and intelligence." This is not some positive affirmation. Saying "I am happy" won't make you happy, you need absolute belief in what you say.Ok, so if I know all this, how come I'm unemployed and never had a girlfriend? Based on the above information do you know what the answer is? My problem is that I have low self-esteem, undefined values and goals and a negatively focused paradigm which goes something like: "I am ugly and nobody wants me because I have red hair and I am an idiot not worthy of success." I know this isn't true but that doesn't mean I don't think it subconsciously. My paradigm is the only lesson I really learned at school due to years of continuous bullying, the proper lessons were simply additional, never something that I could properly focus on -and so failed at due to my lack of faith in myself. However, I'm trying something new at the moment which could change things. We'll soon see. That's another key reason why I'm unsuccessful I don't feel supported in my life apart with Matthew and my online friend Beth. My parents don't seem to support whatsoever unless it is in their interest. If I agree with them then I am accepting that I am less than I can be, that I should do what everyone else is doing and just be average. I don't think so! The information is obviously 'culturally shocking', it's against peoples beliefs. Most people do not believe it, most people are poor and unfulfilled. Do you now see why that is? This is the most important thign you could ever learn, yet it is not taught in any school. Perhaps it is because if everyone knew this, then everyone would be successful, there would be no one to go round litter picking!!
