					Section 504 of the Rehabilitation of 1973 and the Americans with
Disabilities Act of 1990

In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, "The Civil Rights Act" for the
people with disabilities and the Americans with Disabilities Act of
1990, the College adheres to the law that states in part that:

"No otherwise qualified individual ... shall, solely by reason of his/her disability, be excluded
from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any
program or activity receiving federal assistance."


John Jay College offers programs and services to students and employees to ensure that
individuals with disabilities are not excluded from academic programs, support services, and
any other activities sponsored by the College, solely on the basis of disability.
