Monty Fakhouri currently serves as the Director of Public Health and Youth Services at
the Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC). He is also an adjunct faculty member
in the Health Sciences Graduate Program at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti,
Mich., serves as a contingent, part time Minority Outreach Program Coordinator at
Beaumont Hospital’s Cancer Institute – Oncology Services.
Mr. Fakhouri holds Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry and a
Master’s of Science in Community Medicine (Public Health) from Wayne State
Mr. Fakhouri’s has served as the Principle Investigator on the Cancer Communications
Project and the Better Youth through Better Parents Project. He also served as Co-
Investigator on the Hepatitis C in the Arab/Chaldean Community in Southeastern
Michigan Project and the Assessment of the Perceived Susceptibility of Breast Cancer
and Perceived Benefits of Brest Cancer Screening among Arab and Chaldean American
Women in the Tri-County Area. He is a Certified Health Education Specialist and is the
recipient of the Robert Wood Johnson 2006 Community Health Leadership Award.
