Rebecca Neugebauer Honored on Global Youth Services Day Global Youth Services Day is an international event held each year that recognizes youth, ages 12-18, for their voluntary contributions and leadership. The city of Akron has participated in this program for 19 years. On April 14, 2009, Rebecca Neugebauer was one of over 75 students to receive the honor at a reception at the Main Akron-Summit County Library Auditorium. Rebecca was nominated by CYO and Community Services for the many hours of volunteer work she performed for the agency. Rebecca has participated in the CYO Teens for Service program, and her volunteer efforts include the After School Enrichment Program, Home Service Project and helping our clerical staff with various tasks. In 2008, Rebecca gave over 55 hours mostly after school. CYO is grateful to Rebecca for her dedication and congratulates her on this high honor.
