					   SOCIAL SKILLS TRAINING GROUP FOR TEENAGE
        GIRLS WITH ASPERGER SYNDROME
The Asperger Institute of the NYU Child Study Center is pleased to offer a
social skills training group exclusively for teenage girls. The group is open
to both newly and previously diagnosed girls age 13-18 with Asperger
Syndrome. During each group meeting, parents will meet simultaneously
with their own group leader.

Topics will include:
      Where to find friends
      Initiating and maintaining friendships
      Improving social conversation skills
      Negotiating adolescence
      Managing anxiety associated and sensory overload

Parent discussion topics will include:
      Facilitating social interaction
      Positive reinforcement for prosocial behavior at home
      Communication
      Managing emotional regulation

Sessions will occur once weekly, schedule to be determined. Groups will run
for an eight-week cycle. If you think you or your family member would
