Falsettos Author/Composer William Finn to visit CCHS Thanksgiving Day

Falsettos author/composer William Finn will visit the Concord-Carlisle High School (CCHS) auditorium on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th from 12 noon – 1:30 p.m. to view a scene (or two) from the upcoming CCHS production and talk with cast, pit and crew members. This special event is open to anyone interested in attending. Peter Atlas, the CCHS director, will introduce Mr. Finn and set the guidelines, giving first dibs on questions to the students involved in the show, and then opening it up to other CCHS theater students and to public attendees if time allows. Mr. Finn graciously accepted Mr. Atlas’s written invitation to visit but is only available on Thanksgiving Day at the time noted as he is visiting his family for the holiday. Mr. Finn lives with his life partner in NYC where he is an independent composer and writer. His topics have included the gay and Jewish experiences in contemporary America and also family, belonging, sickness, loss, and healing. In addition to Falsettos, which won Tony awards for Best Music and Lyrics, and for Best Book (shared with James Lapine), Mr. Finn is well known for the successful Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The CCHS production of Falsettos opens on Friday, December 11 at 7:30 pm, and continues Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 pm. Tickets will be $15 at the door. The Thanksgiving Day event is free. Come see a sneak preview of the show and enjoy a lively Q & A with the composer! ###
