Tega Cay Beach And Swim Center Policies and Procedures Tega Cay Beach and Swim Center is a city owned facility supported by annual fees from Pass Holders. The Facility is for the use of Annual Pass Holders and their guests. Please adhere to the policies and procedures specified in this booklet and posted on the premises. Your safety and enjoyment are the primary concerns in establishing these guidelines. These rules are subject to change with a one-week notice that will be posted on both the bulletin boards in the entrance of the pool and the front porch area. Please take the time to read these postings periodically to keep you informed on upcoming events and changes. These policies are as of January 1, 2008. Participation Annual passes are available on a calendar year basis You will need to fill out an application and have pictures of each member of the family taken. If you were a member last year you will just need to update any changes that have changed from the prior year. OR If you or your child has changed in appearance we will need a new picture. Your picture in our system is the way we identify you as a member; beginning in 2008 if we do not have your picture on file you will not be permitted in the pool area. This helps us to know who is entering our pool at all times. Each Annual Pass Holder will be presented upon request with an access card to the fitness area to use during hours the facility is closed. The first card will be free to members; any card after the first will cost $10.00 each. Guest Policies Your guests are welcome at the Beach Center. However, to maintain equity and safety in the use of the facility, the following guidelines are in force. There will be (4) free guest passes given with each family membership and (2) with all other memberships. These will be added to the computer with your information and you will need to come in the front office to pick them up if you did not receive them when you renewed your membership. Free guest passes do not carry over to the following year; but all guest passes you purchase on a card will carry over. NEW IN 2008: All guest passes must be purchased during regular office hours. The office will be closed on Monday’s. Guest will not be permitted in pool without a guest pass so please plan ahead and purchase during our office hours. Each Pass Holder Household will have the opportunity to purchase an 8-pass guest card for $24.00 dollars a card; each pass holder household is limited to purchase (16) sixteen guest passes for the year. In addition, each Pass Holder Household will be allowed to purchase an unlimited number of guest passes for out of state guests; they will need to provide proof of residency outside of the states of North and South Carolina to be eligible for this rate. These passes will cost $3.00 per guest. An Annual Pass Holder over age 18 must purchase guest passes and be present while their guest are at the pool. Guest Rates: $3.00 per day, per child under age 12. $6.00 per day, per guest age 12 or over. There is no charge for children under age 1. Nanny Passes may be purchased for residents with nanny/babysitters at a discounted rate. It must be purchased in conjunction with a family pass only. The price of this membership is $75.00. An Annual Pass Holder at least 18 years of age must be present when hosting a guest. Annual Pass Holders are responsible for all actions of their families and guests and may be charged for damaged property. Children under age 12 must be in direct supervision of a responsible adult. All children are solely the responsibility of their parents. All Pass Holders agree to release and indemnify Tega Cay Beach & Swim and Fitness Center, its employees, agents and owners from any claims, losses or liability arising out of the use of the pool or facilities by any person for whom they are responsible. A liability waiver form is available to members to sign allowing their 16-year-old children to bring younger siblings to the pool. 1 Please make guests aware of the rules of the facility. Guests must respect the privileges of the Annual Pass Holders. General The Beach Center is a family friendly facility. No alcohol or tobacco is allowed on the premises during normal operations unless it is brought in during a Private Party; and even then it is not allowed in the pool area. Please do not wear wet or sweaty clothing into the gathering room. If you would like to enjoy the gathering room after swimming or warming up, please bring a change of clothes or appropriate cover up. Please park all bicycles at the bike rack outside the pool gate. Please remember to lock your bike, as the Center assumes no liability for lost or stolen property. No skateboarding, roller blading or roller-skating is allowed on the grounds of the Tega Cay Beach and Swim Center. Conduct Misconduct may result in removal from the facilities for the day. Persistent misconduct may result in a Pass being cancelled. Please be respectful of the rights of all Pass Holders to enjoy the facilities in an atmosphere free of profanity, loud noises and offensive conduct. Exercise Room You may receive upon request an access card to be used before or after hours. Please familiarize yourself with the proper use and operation of the exercise equipment. The following rules govern the use of this room: You must be 16 years of age or older to enter this room without a parent present. You must wear proper workout shoes at all times. Please bring a towel to wipe perspiration from the equipment. If someone is waiting to use the treadmill, exercise bike or cross trainer, please limit your turn to 30 minutes. If you are doing sets on the weight machine, please invite your neighbor to alternate sets with you. Please do not bring food or drinks into the exercise room. You may bring water in a plastic bottle. Swimming Pool NO DIVING. • No one is permitted in the pool unless a lifeguard is present. • Please obey the lifeguard at all times. • No running, boisterous or rough plays. • The pool and pool deck will be evacuated during a storm or after lightning or thunder. • Please do not bring pets within the pool gates or into the clubhouse unless it is a working dog. 2 • You must wear proper swim attire. Swimming in street clothes or exercise wear is not permitted. • Wet swimwear is not allowed past the changing rooms in the clubhouse. • Shoes, shirts and dry bottoms are required in the clubhouse. • Please remove any loose or dangling jewelry before entering the pool. • Please place all trash in appropriate receptacles. • No glass allowed in the pool or on the pool deck. • No large toys, rafts or towels are allowed in the pool. • No loud music. • No spitting or blowing through the nose or otherwise introducing contaminants into the water. • Persons with communicable diseases should not enter the pool. • Persons with skin, eye, ear or nasal infections should not enter the pool. • Anyone exhibiting behavior that may be construed as being under the influence of a foreign substance may be asked to leave the pool area and the grounds of the Tega Cay Swim and Fitness Center. • No oils or lotions are allowed in the pool. Please use the outdoor shower to rinse off before entering the pool. Also, please cover your chair with a beach towel to defer the aging process from these lotions. • Please remind children to use the toilet facilities in the clubhouse. Infants must wear an appropriate swim diaper. • Please do not play with pool safety, showers or cleaning equipment. • Please keep all furniture on the pool deck. • No children under the age of 12 years of age are permitted in the indoor showers without an adult present.
