29/ Job: Audio Engineer - Live & Studio (Ak) Closing Date Wednesday 25th October 2006 Onstage Productions and Sanctuary Studios are seeking a talented person to head the technical requirements for their new live act, The Valley Goats. Initially the role would be front of house sound operations and rigging in small venues on a weekly basis, but as popularity spreads so will the work. Larger gigs will include lighting and live recording. We are seeking someone with at least basic training in sound, ideally someone interested in growing with the band and becoming the 5th member of the group, so to speak. We will provide as much training as necessary to the right person, though we're looking for somebody who doesn‟t need constant supervising and can advance on their own. You must be reliable, with transport and a 'can do' attitude.

Valley Goats are a new four piece group (vocals & guitar, guitar, bass and drums - plus everybody sings) They use a Yamaha digital console when playing live, so be prepared for a learning curve if you have not used one yet. There is a 2 week Northland tour planned for January you must be available for. They are based in the Hibiscus Coast, but will be playing anywhere within the north Auckland region. There will be plenty of studio opportunities too, so a good working knowledge of ProTools, Logic Audio and simple recording techniques is a bonus. Starting wage is negotiable to the right person from around $40 to $150 per night for the larger venues. A written CV is required via e-mail (please, do not ring us). More information and interview appointments will be available to applicants. All correspondence to: sound@onstage.co.nz
