In the table outlined below, you will be randomly assigned a planet and into a group in the solar system to become an expert on. By doing research, you will produce a multimedia presentation (PowerPoint) discussing your planet. Your presentation MUST contain pictures, movies and information (the slides should NOT be all text), be no longer than 5 minutes and five slides long: Groups: Group Mercury Earth Juipiter Uranus

Slide 1: Title page and Slide 5: Bibliography Slide 2: Planetary Quantitative Data – in this slide include all of the information in the Planet Database Sheet located on page 447 of your text. Be sure to be concise and accurate as you will be presenting this information to your peers so they can accurately fill out the table. Slide 3: Main Features. Using the textbook and internet resources, explain some of the main features of your planet and what makes it different from others. Slide 4: Tour of your planet – using additional pictures, show us some main features of your planet. These could be surface objects such as mountains, canyons, colour, craters etc. Be creative in your use of multimedia to show this (i.e. use an embedded movie, you tube, starry night animation etc.) Notes:  Each student must present his OWN slides. It is expected that one students does Slide 1, 3 and 5 with the other doing 2 and 4.  Your mark will be based on the presentations AND the ability to share the work. If the work is unevenly divided, you will lose marks. During the presentations, the rest of the class should make point form notes on each of the planets as well as fill in the Planetary Database table (outline will be on the daybook). In addition, Q1-7 on page 447 must be completed. This assignment will be collected the following class and evaluated.
