The Dante Alighieri Society is a not for profit Italian Organization founded in 1889
to protect and propagate Italian culture and language throughout the world.
The Society is devoted to strengthening the spiritual and cultural ties of Italians
living abroad with their motherland, as well as fostering among foreigners the
love and interest in Italian civilization.
In order to achieve its objective, the Dante Alighieri Society establishes and
subsidizes schools, libraries, clubs, and courses in Italian language and culture;
further, it provides books and publications, promotes conferences, cultural trips,
and art and music events.
