This tutorial is designed to help you integrate a Microsoft Word document
into a PowerPoint presentation using MS Word’s ‘Send To’ function.
Important Steps Before You Begin PowerPoint
In order to convert a Word document into a PowerPoint presentation you
must first pay close attention in MS Word to applying Styles to your
document. For more information on Styles and Templates, please see
Understanding and Creating Style Sheets, by Pamela Treme and Downloading
and Applying a Template, by Olga Marcondes. PowerPoint uses the styles to
determine how to design the layout of the presentation. PowerPoint will
use all Heading 1 formats as the slide titles. Each Heading 1 in your
document will create a new slide. Within each slide all other headings will
become subsections under the Heading 1 title.
