Only original material should be submitted. Commercial papers, descriptions of papers with no research/development content, and papers where supporting data or a technical description cannot be given for proprietary reasons will not be accepted for presentation in this symposium. Abstracts should contain enough detail to clearly convey the approach and the results of the research. Government and company clearance to present and publish should be final at the time of submission.

Multispectral Image Processing and Pattern Recognition
30 October 1 November 2009 Yichang, China

In 2007, the fifth International Symposium on Multispectral Image Processing and Pattern Recognition was held in Wuhan, China. Scientists, engineers, and graduate students presented over 150 talks conveying original results in image processing and pattern recognition. 700 papers were selected for publication in SPIE proceedings.This symposium has become the largest meeting organized by SPIE in China. The sixth SPIE International Symposium on Multispectral Image Processing and Pattern Recogniton(MIPPR'2009) will be held on October 30-November 1, 2009 in Yichang,Hubei,China. Yichang was established about 2000 years ago, and is of great importance in China's culture, history, and economic. The symposium will be held at the hotel of three gorge dam, which locates along the Yangtze river and just 3km west of the three gorge dam. You may enjoy the picturesque scenes after meeting. In order to better inform the participants of the latest developments in the different branches of multispectral image processing and pattern recognition, apart from general papers to be presented at the forthcoming conference, we shall organize several special plenary sections for top quality invited papers. Please do not hesitate to submit your manuscripts and live in the three gorges.
