Made to measure chairs are an excellent way of getting such an important investment right - the first time. The luxurious Devon Recliner is available in a variety of models and can be tailored to meet the individual needs of the user.

The Devon Recliner

To help you to a standing position, the Devon comes with the option of "up and tilt" motion. This motion safely lifts up and tilts forward to the required height for standing. The other option is the "horizontal lift" action, which lifts without tilting, and is useful for users that need assistance getting to the standing position without being forced forward with the tilt facility.

A key benefit of the Devon Recliner is the independent back and footrest control. Two separate motors allow each section to be positioned exactly as required providing a greater level of comfort.

The actions to raise and lower the legs, backrest and seat height operate independently of each other and the seat has the option of rising horizontally or at an angle.
Although the Devon Recliner is an attractive chair, its real strength lies in the way it has tackled the problems of immobility, by providing several unique features to cater for the users needs. The chair has the option to fold its arms backwards out of the way, to allow free and easy wheelchair transfer, which can be invaluable for sideways transfers if standing up becomes difficult. The chair can be made with two lifting options: • lift and angle forward like conventional chairs. This motion safely lifts up and tilts forward to the required height for standing. • lift whilst keeping the chair in a horizontal position. This motion allows the user to ease themselves to a standing position at their own pace and is particularly beneficial for users that need assistance getting to a standing position without being forced forward with the tilt facility. The Devon Recliner can be supplied several options for its base: • fixed legs • lockable casters • rotating base The rotational base allows the user to turn the chair round which may be useful when reaching items and allows the optimum positioning of a wheelchair.

The Devon Recliner is available in either high quality fabric or genuine leather, and can be manufactured in light or dark wood as required.

Unlike most recliners, its compact design will not take up valuable space in your home and it has independent movement of the back and leg sections rather than both sections moving simultaneously.

The armrests can be raised out of the way, which is invaluable for sideways transfers if standing up becomes difficult.
Devon Recliner Features: • Electronic handset operation • Independent back and footrest control • Horizontal or tilt lift available • Foldaway armrests for wheelchair transfer • Option of rotational base, lockable casters or fixed legs • Adjustable neck support • Seat remains static when reclining • Arm rests synchronised to follow the back rest • Option of filled or open arm sides • Option of light or dark wood frames • Choice of high quality fabric or genuine leather - swatches available

All the functions are controlled via a easy to use handset (which can be adhered to the chair with the Velcro supplied). You can choose the option of a safety-lock out mechanism, to prevent accidental usage or usage by children.
