The Booja-Booja Company

Truly Scrumptious… Booja-Booja launches the official Norwich Food Festival Chocolate Truffle

Award-winning Norfolk chocolate maker The Booja-Booja Company is celebrating the Norwich Food Festival by launching a brand new truffle, made using delicious local organic produce.

The Norwich Food Festival Toffee Apple Crumble Truffle is the first new flavour to be created by the organic manufacturer in four years and like the Booja-Booja Company’s existing five flavours it is dairy-free, gluten-free, suitable for vegetarians and vegans and absolutely scrumptious.

Bringing together the distinctive flavours of two classic British desserts the new Toffee Apple Crumble Truffle is a luscious combination of succulent fruit, chewy toffee and crunchy crumble in a smooth mouth watering chocolate truffle. The result of months of research, development, sample trials and taste tests this exciting new flavour evokes the essence of a traditional East Anglian autumn.

Fresh organic Bramley apples from Evergreen Farm, Gressenhall, Norfolk have been chosen for their characterful flavour that comes through beautifully in the new truffle. There will be a lot of peeling and coring going on at The Booja-Booja Company over the next few weeks.

Colin Mace, founder of The Booja-Booja Company and creator of the Norwich Food Festival Toffee Apple Crumble Truffle explains:

“As a local producer we want to use locally grown organic ingredients wherever we can. That’s why we have spent so long developing this new Toffee Apple Crumble Truffle. It uses delicious, local, freshly picked, organic apples; a great way to celebrate the beautiful, abundant county where we live and work.”

The Booja-Booja Company is one of the region’s foremost food producers, making its unique range of organic chocolate truffles on one site in Brooke, just outside Norwich. With 27 awards to their name the chocolates are widely recognised as some of the best in the world and are available to buy in independent wholefood shops, delicatessens and fine food halls across the UK. You will not find them in supermarkets as The Booja-Booja Company has a policy of only supporting independent retailers.

The Norwich Food Festival Toffee Apple Crumble Truffle will be launched by the Lord Mayor of Norwich on the morning of 9th October at The Forum. The following week special tasting events will take place at four key Booja-Booja stockists around the city:
