Pete Churchill is a lot more than just a brilliant pianist although some of his chord work is of the 'time stands still' variety. His vocal style is clear and distinctive tone marries well with the exquisite music he chooses to play. You will hear a mix of classic jazz standards along with a few of his own compositions, all played with feel and intensity. Pete is also coming back to do a vocal workshop at Seven on Saturday afternoon 27th February. www.petechurchill.co.uk  Thursday 25 Mar: The Anita Wardell quartet with Anita Wardell vocals, Robin Aspland piano, Jeremy Brown bass and Steve Brown drums

If you like real swinging improvising jazz singers then Aninta Wardell is your woman. You won't have heard jazz vocals as exciting as this in a long time. www.anitawardell.com
