Dear Parents and Students,
The Amsterdam Marching Rams will begin band camp for freshmen and first year band students on August 19, 2009. Students will be assigned their uniform and instruments in the morning session. If “Student/Athletes” have morning practice, they can attend the afternoon session starting at noon to assign uniforms and instruments. Student Leaders such as the band officers, drum majors, and section leaders will attend the morning session to train new band students in “Marching Maneuvers” & “Music & Instrument Preparation” Special attention is given to each student in small group sessions called, “sectionals”. Students should come prepared to play. Reeds can be purchased at “Down to Earth on Route 30N. Or any other music store.

MORE OFFICER STUFF Music Librarians, a most thankless job, will be headed by t-bones Herman Sherry, Cory Mihalek, Courtney Bechtel and Katelyn “Clarinet” Wessell. Senior Drum Major Tyler Morrone Will be on hand to start off the season! Joining him will be Junior Drum Major Vincenzo “Enzo” Belli! Recent band elections will bring the bright and happy barisax player, Chelsey Crosby as Band President! Tom,I Play Trumpet, Lalla stands strong as Vice President to help create revenue for the band activity fund. Abbey Tambasco, cool alto sax player, will take on the daunting task as Treasurer. A.J.”clarinet” Clark will handle the memories department as Historian. For all the secretarial duties like minutes at meetings, Sandra”Trumpet” Gray will take CHARGE!!!!! Remember those uniforms and stuff, Ed”another cool alto sax” Korona will be there to organize and hand out the pieces.
