Rothschilds and radium were the horizons of Doris Drucker’s childhood. Born in Germany in the early twentieth century, she came of age in an upper-middle-class family that struggled to maintain its bourgeois respectability between the two World Wars. Item #43 Alvin and the Chipmunks Plush Characters from 20th Century Fox Value - $65.00 Donated by – Bettina Sherick „98 Minimum Bid- $45.00 Buyout - $90.00
Alvin and the Chipmunks is a five-time Grammy Award-winning animated music group, created by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. in 1958. The Chipmunks have found a new audience and are popular again with the mixed media film that came out in 2007 starring Jason Lee. The group consists of three singing animated chipmunks: Alvin, the mischievous troublemaker, who quickly became the star of the group; Simon, the tall, bespectacled intellectual; and Theodore, the chubby, impressionable sweetheart. The trio is "managed" by their human "father" and confidant, David Seville. In reality, David Seville was Bagdasarian's stage name, and the Chipmunks themselves are named after the executives of their original record label, Liberty Records: Alvin Bennett (the president), Simon Waronker (the founder and owner), and Theodore Keep (the chief enginee).
