Racing Rules & Regulations Includes all technical, class & race regulations for clubs racing 1/28th scale radio controlled cars. www.tinracers.com TinRacers Racing League Rules Technical Regulations 1) All cars must be either IWAVER’s, MiniZ's or other comparable 1/28th scale RC cars and comply with class regulations. All cars must be complete. They must have all four wheels and tires, all windows and doors, both front and back bumpers. All removable parts must be secured by screws and or glue. Any type of tape is not allowed. Fenders may not be cut out or altered unless done so as part of an approved factory upgrade kit. No part of the chassis, suspension, batteries, or electronics may be exposed. The body shall not be altered to allow said parts to be exposed or protrude through. Cars must be neat in appearance. No profanity or obscene signs or slogans shall be displayed. All factory modifications are allowed in the “modified” classes. These include Stage 2 Motors, AWD, Suspension/Steering, Body Upgrades, Logic Lights, Wheels and Drift Kits, etc. This will include any new upgrade kits which TinRacers releases in the future. Motor alterations, such as magnet upgrades, bearings, rewinding, etc. are allowed only in the “modified” class. Other upgrade motors made specifically for IWAVER and MiniZ but not sold by TinRacers will be allowed in the “sub-modified” and “modified” classes so long as their installation does not alter a car body or chassis so as to put it in violation of stated rules. Alterations to the circuit and motor/battery wiring and connectors are allowed only in the “sub-modified” and “modified” classes. Other electronic modifications not mentioned above may be allowed in the “submodified” and “modified” classes pending club approval. No car shall be altered electronically so as to interfere with the electronics and or radio communication of another car. Maximum allowed battery voltage shall not exceed 6 volts in the “stock” classes and 8.5 volts in the “modified” classes. Modifications are thus, limited to pinions from in the box. Note: Retail carbon suspension plates allowed, to replace broken stock plate. TinRacers Racing League Rules Racing Rules and Regulations 1) 2) All cars entered in a race must meet all technical rules. Drivers/car owners must sign up for point sanctioned races the day prior to the sanctioned race. Not doing so will disqualify a driver form participating on that race day. Not signing up on non sanctioned days may or may not disqualify a driver/owner depending on the number of cars entered and time limitations. All races will be ran on either a timed basis. (I.e. 3, 5, 8 or 10 minute heats) or a lap-count basis. (I.e. 30, 50, 80 or 100 lap heats) In time-based heats, 1st place will be awarded to the car/driver finishing the most laps in the given time... 2nd place to the car/driver finishing the next most laps and so on. In lap count-based heats, 1st place will be awarded to the car/driver finishing the given number of laps first... 2nd place to the car/driver finishing next and so on. The top four finishers of a race will be awarded points. The point system is as follows: 1st - 100 Points, 2nd - 75 Points, 3rd - 50 Points and 4th - 25 Points (A car must complete at least 1 lap to be eligible for point awards.) All cars must start from the starting line. When starting, cars must be positioned on the track parallel to one another, with adequate spacing between cars. Cars may not be placed at an angle so as to interfere with the forward motion of another car. Cars must start at the green light. False starts will result in a restart. 3 false starts by any one driver will result in disqualification for that race. Cars may not be touched by drivers/spectators/turn marshals in such a way as to aid forward motion. This would include picking up a car and placing it at a further point on the track. Cars may be touched if they are immobile or other wise incapacitated. A driver/spectator/turn marshal shall not physically touch a car so as to impede its forward motion. All cars must stop when the red light is displayed. Once the stop order has been issued, cars are not allowed to be moved until directed to do so. Violation of this rule can result in disqualification. Cars leaving the track under their own power will be replaced on the track at the point of departure. If a car is pulled from the track for repair, it may be placed back on the track in front of the drivers area. All drivers must control their cars from the designated drivers area. 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10) 11) 12) 13) 14) 15) Racing Rules and Regulations (continued) 16) Drivers must not allow their transmitter antennas to extend over the track so as to hinder the radio signal of the other cars. All transmitters of cars not racing shall be shut off during the race. Anyone intentionally interfering with another cars radio transmissions will be disqualified from that days racing and may be subject to removal from the racing league. No foul language, abusive talk or threats will be tolerated. Good sportsmanship is encouraged. Any driver intentionally wrecking other cars during a race will be black flagged. Any car altered during the course of a race so as to put it in violation of the technical rules will be black flagged. Any controversy will be settled by the race director.
