Additional comments (e.g., about course content/materials, teaching style, etc.): It may be time consuming, but I think the answers to problem set should be gone over each time they are handed back, not only put up online. Great professor who got the material concepts across in the most interesting way possible. I have no idea what he wants to do post-Ph.D. certification, but would highly recommend hiring him on full time at Maryland. By far the best graduate teacher in any course I have had across the school in terms of A) actually enjoys teaching and B) presents the material effectively in a way that I learn it. professor was very accomodating and flexible to meet with to clarify any questions. i liked that the problem sets were difficult because it forced me to work harder to master the material before exams. it would have been nicer to spread the problem sets across the semester more evenly. Teacher was very knowledgeable on the subject matter. Was able to get the material across very well. At times was hard to follow because of lots of pauses and "ums," but other than that a fantastic lecturer.
