• • The citizenship application form for adult may take you approximately 30 minutes to complete. You will need the relevant documents listed below to complete the citizenship application form.
LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED UNDER ARTICLE 123 (1) & 123(2) OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE Please tick ( √ ) box on the correct application type when applying for Singapore citizenship and produce all the following relevant documents in support of your application. (Original and a photocopy each). Additional documents may be required while processing your application, whenever necessary.
Applicant and Spouse’s (Wife or Husband) Documents
1) Affix (1) recent passport-sized colour photograph of applicant on the completed citizenship application form. The photograph must be:

35 mm wide by 45 mm high without border and taken within the last three months; taken full face without headgear, unless the applicant habitually wears a headgear in accordance with religious or racial customs. The headgear must not hide the applicant's facial features; the facial image must be between 25 mm and 35 mm from chin to crown; and taken against plain white background with a matt or semi-matt finish; Photographs can be taken at our photo booths located at level 2 or 3 of ICA Building.

Identity Card and Birth Certificate. Marriage Certificate; Divorce Certificate; Separation Deed. Passport or travel document. Entry Permit Card/Re-entry permits. Educational Certificates and Skilled Certificates. A letter of employment from current employer stating occupation, date of employment, basic and gross salary per month, including latest payslip. Income tax notice of assessment for last 3 years preceding the date of this application. CPF contributions history for last 12 months, if employed. Latest Computer Information on Business Profile from Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), latest balance sheet/profit and loss account if you are a sole proprietor/partner/Director of a company. Death Certificate of ex-spouse, proof of child/children’s custody from previous marriage, if applicable. Deed Poll or Religious Certificate for change of name (if any). Birth Certificate(s)/Passport or travel document of child/children.

Applicant who is aged and the application sponsored by a child who is a Singapore Citizen The following documents pertaining to the sponsor are required:Sponsor’s Birth Certificate and Identity Card; A letter from the current employer stating occupation, date of employment, basic and gross salary per month including latest payslip.. Latest Computer Information on Business Profile from Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), latest balance sheet/profit and loss account if you are a sole proprietor/partner/Director of a company. Income Tax Notice of Assessment for last 3 years preceding the date of application. CPF contributions history for last 12 months. Income proof of all other children, if necessary. The sponsor must be present at time of interview. Important Note i) An applicant is eligible to apply for Singapore citizenship if he/she has resided continuously in Singapore as a permanent resident for at least 2 to 6 years immediately prior to the date of application. However, applicant who wishes to apply under his/her own merits may come for a preliminary assessment interview after 1 year of permanent residence. A Singapore PR can be away from Singapore for 50% of the qualifying residential period, subject to a maximum absence of 1 year. However, absences due to official businesses, overseas posting by your employer may be treated as residence for purpose of citizenship application on a case by case basis. Please ensure that the application form is duly completed. Arrangement will be made for the applicant to submit the formal application when he/she is assessed to be eligible for Singapore citizenship after the preliminary assessment interview. The declaration portion of the citizenship application form will be made at ICA office at the end of the interview. All information contained in application form must be complete, accurate and verifiable. False particulars/concealment of material facts will render you liable to disqualification for citizenship application or prosecution in court. Application by post will not be accepted. Separate application form must be completed if the applicant wishes to apply for spouse and child/children. For application under spouse’s sponsorship, both applicant and spouse must be present for the interview. The applicant has to fulfil a minimum of 2-year permanent residence (PR) and married for at least 2 years. Please make the following payments by or

a) S$90/- for processing the application (non-refundable). b) S$70/- for issuance of citizenship certificate, if the application is approved. Processing Time: 3 to 6 months. However, some cases may take a longer time to complete.
