Fettuccine with beef ragu

550g jar Dolmio classic tomato 500g diced beef blade steak ½ cup water 2 tsp Gourmet Garden Italian Herbs

4 Smart Buy eggs 400g Smart Buy plain flour Salt - from the pantry Parmesan cheese (to serve)

1. Add the tomato sauce, water and meat to a heavy based saucepan. 2. Bring the sauce to the boil and simmer for 30 minutes or until the meat is tender. Add the Gourmet Garden Italian Herbs and stir to combine. 3. For the pasta: Place the flour and eggs in a processor and process until the dough resembles breadcrumbs. Turn out onto a clean surface and work the dough until the texture is smooth. 4. Cut the ball of dough into approx. 6 slices. Feed a slice of dough through the widest setting of the pasta machine. Lightly dust the sheet with flour and fold it in two. 5. Repeat this process for each piece several times. Feed the dough through the remaining settings only once. To create fettuccine insert the sheets into the fettuccine cutters. 6. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil and add a heaped tsp of salt to the water. Add the pasta and cook for approximately 1 minute or until pasta is al dente. Drain. 7. Divide the pasta between 4 bowls. Top with beef ragu and grated parmesan cheese. Tip: If you're in a hurry instead of making your own pasta use some from the pantry!
