The Commission has had a Corporate Leniency Policy (CLP) since February 2004. The CLP offers total or partial immunity to cartel members who assist the authorities in identifying and successfully prosecuting cartels. In January 2007, the Commission reviewed the policy with the view to making it a more effective tool in exposing cartels. The workshop will enable business leaders, management and legal practitioners to: • Understand how the CLP works and the procedures to be followed in applying for immunity • Understand changes in the application of the CLP as a result of the amendments • Understand the circumstances under which the Commission will consider and grant leniency RSVP: Please call Ms Itebogeng Palare at (012) 394 3189 or fax at (012) 394 4189/0162 or itebogengp@compcom.co.za
