Class 1 – You and your horse wear what you feel safe in. CLASS 1 – TVRC Walk / Trot Test A Test attached to schedule Combination of horse and rider not to have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any dressage competition. Riders may dress smart casual in a sweatshirt if jacket not available. Correct hat and footwear must be worn. Back protectors are permitted. Horses/ponies may wear whatever bit/tack they go best in. Boots and martingales are allowed. May be led. CLASS 2 – BD Introductory A (2008) Test obtained from British Dressage Web Site or BD office. Correct attire must be worn for this class. Open to riders who have never competed at Novice level. CLASS 3 – Preliminary 1 (2006) Section A Section B Combination of horse and rider not to have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any dressagecompetition. Open

Rosettes to 6th place and to non-placed members gaining over 60% in their test. Any class may be entered as H/C (Hors Concours) - if you are over qualified but still want to have a go. Will not be placed nor gain a rosette. THAMES VALLEY RIDING CLUB
Is an Affiliated Riding Club and all competitions are run under British Riding Club Rules. Please note that these rules may differ from British Dressage, BSJA or British Eventing Rules in some instances. Where a specific situation is not covered by Riding Club rules the official rules for British Dressage, BSJA or British Eventing shall apply. Back protectors must be worn by all competitors under 16 years old in competitions which involve jumping.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO TVRC EVENTS
1. The judge’s decision is final. 2. All ridden horses / ponies must be over 4 years of age or over. 3. Correct riding attire for each discipline must be worn. Hats must be worn, correctly fastened when mounted and be to a basic standard of PAS015, BSEN1384 or ASTMF1163, riders are responsible for their own safety. 4. We strongly recommend body protectors are worn by competitors for show jumping. The wearing of body protectors is compulsory for all cross country events. 5. Entries may be refused. All rights of entry are reserved. 6. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Those with dogs not on leads will be asked to leave the venue immediately. 7. It is the responsibility of competitors to know the rules - our stewards and officials are there to help and advise, please remember all our stewards are volunteers. 8. Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom in law they are responsible, neither the organisers of these events nor BCA, any agent, employee or representative to these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or any other way whatsoever. 9. Every effort will be made to run classes to schedule, however, the organisers reserve the right to cancel or amend classes. 10. Any change of horse or rider must be notified to the Secretary at least 15 minutes before the start of the class. 11. There must be no mucking out of trailers or lorries onto the ground. All muck and loose hay / straw must be gathered up and taken home. If parking on grass, do not allow your animals to graze as it is usually our hosts grazing. 12. In the event of the cancellation of an event, an administration fee will be withheld from the entry fee. HEALTH AND SAFETY The Organisers of TVRC events have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions all officials, stewards and organisers. Any accident, however small must be reported and recorded at the Secretary’s office.
