Join us for an afternoon of fun on the farm. We will feed the animals, muck some stalls and of course give lots of attention to the animals too! Please wear boots and dress for the weather. Junior Biologist Adventure
Age 9 - 10
Become a junior biologist! We will explore the ponds and streams using nets to get an up close and personal experience with the wildlife in that habitat. We will use binoculars and scopes to see the birds of Westmoor up close. We will even try to locate some mammals living in the fields and forests of the park. Instructor: Amy Gottfried. Monarch Migration

The life cycle of the monarch butterfly is an amazing story. Join us for this wonderful program to see just how these beautiful insects live their lives. Animal Training 101

Ever tried to train your dog to fetch, or your cat to beg? What about training a sheep, cow, horse, or chicken? Learn with your child to approach critters with a “gentle touch.” We will introduce you to the various animals on our farm and in the Discovery Room. Dress to be outside. Preschool Nature Discovery

Bunnies To Horses

Where do eggs come from? How is butter made? This fun class will give children the opportunity to learn about farm products and become farmers themselves! Puddle Jumpers

Gently introduce your child to experience nature’s excitement: Colors, smells, sounds and textures. Easy walks through meadow and forest combined with stories, songs and games. Bring your family and invite your friends to join the celebration at Westmoor Park. Westmoor Park is teaming up with the staff and volunteers of Noah Webster House for a blending of holiday traditions. There will be hay wagon rides, music and songs, a story teller with winter tales from near and far, Hot chocolate and marshmallows. Participants will decorate a tree for the birds.
