PINNACLE CEO WILF ROBINSON STEPS DOWN
WILF Robinson, former CEO of leisure property developer Pinnacle Point, has stepped down with immediate effect. The announcement was made on the stock exchange news service yesterday morning. According to the announcement, Robinson is stepping down to pursue other business interests in Johannesburg. He is replaced by Hennie Pretorius, a former partner at Edward Nathan. Robinson joined the company three years ago when it was known as Ace-Ross. He is a chartered accountant and former CEO of Absa Private Bank. His was seen as a conservative balance to the previous, younger Ace-Ross CEO Jaco Verster. However, earlier this year, it was revealed Robinson might not have been as conservative as he appeared - he defaulted on Pinnacle Point futures held for his own account.
