• Coca-Cola was the leading soft drink brand in India until 1977 when it left rather than reveal its formula to the government and reduce its equity stake as required under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (FERA) which governed the operations of foreign companies in India. • Coca-Cola re-entered India in 1993. The vision of the company is to lead beverage revolution in the world and provide it’s consumer quality beverages at affordable price. Coca-Cola India Launches Fanta Apple
Part of the phased launch, Fanta Apple will be initially made available to consumers in the two Southern Indian States of Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu, followed by a national roll out in the next two months

Toxic Pesticides Found in India's Soft Drinks
• NEW DELHI, India, August 5, 2003 (ENS) - Toxic pesticides in concentrations far higher than permitted by the European Economic Commission have been found in 12 cold drink brands sold in and around New Delhi. • The environmental group said, "12 major cold drink brands sold in and around Delhi contain a deadly cocktail of pesticide residues." Mirinda lemon was named as the drink with the highest levels of pesticides. • Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) said its lab tests showed that all samples, including those of Coke contained residues of four toxic pesticides and insecticides - lindane, DDT, malathion and chlorpyrifos. • The CSE soft drinks report can be read in full at: http://www.cseindia.org/html/cola-indepth/softdrinks_report.pdf

In the Year 2007,Companies earning per share growth is 19%, unit case volume growth 6%, net operating revenue growth 20%, Operating Income growth 15% in compression to 2006.In the year 2009, Coca-Cola India launched new product “Fanta-Apple” in the Indian market.
