emGovPower is proud to introduce the "emGovPower Web Interface," the newest addition to our product line. The Web Interface product provides web access to emGovPower application databases and other third party application databases. This interface permits you to log on to the web site, pay bills on-line (utility bills, tax bills and other bills), view history and update specific customer account information. The sites web preferences determine which application data or third party application data is available on-line for citizens to access.

Features of the Web Interface
Technology: The product was developed in the latest Microsoft web technology, Microsoft ASP.NET. The lead product developer is a .NET Certified Microsoft Application Developer. Security: The product follows Microsoft's patterns and practices and is patterned after Microsoft's Open Hack Web Application. Look: The product is easily setup to have the “look and feel” of your existing web site. See the HMS Customer Web Sites link below for examples of how this “look and feel” may change from one site to another. Configuration: The product has many configuration settings that allow customers to determine the parameters under which the web site will carry out its assigned tasks. For example, the parameters might determine how number fields are displayed throughout the site or how credit card security might be applied. Payments: The product has the ability to accept on-line customer payments via three methods: (1) credit card transaction (2) establish a permanent bank draft or (3) Quick Check for a one-time payment using a savings or checking account. The product has been interfaced to several different credit card processors at this time and can interface with any on-line credit card processor.In addition, HMS’ Prism-e Cashiering application has the ability to take credit card payments at cashier workstations using the Web Interface credit card processing functionality. This enhancement will eliminate the need for credit card machines at each cashier workstation. Integration: The product is tightly interfaced with the HMS Prism-e product line. Currently, citizens can look up utility bills as well as personal property and real estate tax bills; they can see history and pay bills on-line. Payments made on-line appear as normal cashiering batches to the organizations employees. The installation of the Web Interface requires no changes to the organizations normal everyday procedures. External Integration: The product can be integrated with 3rd party applications. For example, we have interfaced with an organization’s Parking Ticket System to facilitate the on-line payment of parking tickets. We also offer the ability to interface with local GIS Systems for display of parcel maps. Customization: The title and text of each page can be customized to conform to the respective business requirements of each organization. This permits organizations to individualize each page and to clearly inform their citizens how each page works. The product is designed so that organizations can easily add additional custom web pages to their web interface sites. For example, an organization might wish to add “Privacy Policy” page, a "How To Use The Site" page or a “Sign-up for an ACH” page. The product menus are easily customized by the organization to show or hide menu options. not to regular citizens. Currently, the product is available in two menu styles. They are a simple list (most customers opt for this format) or a folder style menu. Both menus work with or without JavaScript enabled. Multi-Lingual: The product has the ability support any language that is supported by UNICODE. This demo site demonstrates the Spanish version. The citizen can choose at any time to view the site in Spanish or English and the text will be rendered in the language selected. Additional languages can be made available with a minimum amount of translation work.

Additional Web-Based Applications Planned For Future Releases
The following web-based modules are planned for future release: Tax Assessment System, Building Permits and Code Compliance, Recreation, Business License, Sales Tax, Animal License, and Citation System.

For example, citizens can view or pay their utility, tax or other bills online.
