Terranua, a Fidelity Investments Company, Hatch Street, Dublin 2, Ireland Senior Software Engineer September 2006 to present Senior software engineer responsible for developing a Java application interfacing with an oracle database. The application is used by the compliance department of Fidelity investments. The application is to allow non-technical users to directly update an internal database. Technologies used include eclipse, Java (J2EE), hibernate, oracle. In addition, a significant amount of documentation work is involved with this role. BT Ireland, Grand Canal Plaza, Dublin 4, Ireland Senior Professional (Design, Development and Consultancy Services) May 2005 to September 2006 I am responsible for ongoing maintenance and development of customer websites using the following technologies: asp.net, MS SQL Server. While working for BT Ireland, I have also developed an automated testing framework using Windows Forms, written in C#, and using an MS SQL server to validate test data and store test results, and an indexing service to improve site-wide searches on customer sites. In addition to developing new systems, I was partially responsible for ongoing maintenance of the iPublish content management system. Developer responsible for Windows smart client development and testing within the Call Centre Agent Desktop team. The solution is a Windows Forms based smart client, written in C#, using WebServices to retrieve data from a windows 2003 server. Technologies used include C#, .NET Developer studio, Windows Forms. CIMRU, National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland Graduate Researcher September 2002 to May 2004 Implementation and documentation of a knowledge management, innovation management and collaboration tool for Small-Medium enterprises using Microsoft IIS, C# on ASP.Net, and SQL Server 2000. This project was partfunded by Enterprise Ireland. Additional technologies used in research included Microsoft SharePoint Services, Java, and XML. Implementation and documentation of a bug tracking system for small projects using PHP, MySQL and Apache on the MacOS X and FreeBSD platforms, so as to ensure quality control within research projects. Functionality which I added included a commerce component, including credit card processing, and subsequent implementation of the same commercerelated functionality in WML for a WAP browser. Technologies used included Microsoft IIS on Windows2000 using VBScript ASP Pages, interfacing with SQL Server, to generated either XML or HTML, for wireless or online browsers. The XML was then parsed depending on the browser platform to WML, HTML for PalmOS, or HTML for PocketPC as required. Experience Music Project, Seattle, WA, USA Volunteer, July 2000 I was a volunteer for the preview and opening weekends of the Experience Music Project museum. This involved providing information to visitors about exhibits within the museum and the museum itself. Flirt FM, National University of Ireland, Galway Volunteer, January 1996 to September 1997 Producer/presenter of a music show on the college radio station.

Interests and Achievements
Cycling I enjoy bicycle touring. In May of 2001 I cycled 1000 miles from Seattle to San Francisco over 18 days. I took part in the Croí Lough Corrib cycle completing the 75 mile circuit in 2002 and 2004, raising money for charity in the process.
